Un-hinged

It's been a long time coming. The road to where I'm at, depending on which destination we're talking about, has been about ten years long. At least my spiritual road has - from the time that I consciously entered it. I was about thirteen and faith had been at my inner core for as long as I could remember. But it was that year I decided to make it mine. Or make it official.

There's much in between to say about all of this but for sake of time I'll keep it short. My wife Krystal and I now live in Redding, CA where the spiritual journey, er, road has been all but straight and boring. The word came to me yesterday, clearly and unapologetically.

My faith is about to become unhinged. As in... the lid is going to be blown off from the inside out.

What faith are you? Would you be interested in missionary work flying a bell 206?

In terms of faith, if you had to label me (which I hate all-encompassing terms), I guess you could call me a bible-believing Jesus-worshiper in pursuit of will of the God "Abraham, Isaac and Jacob"... and Jesus, Peter, Paul & Mary too ;-). (Also popularly labeled, "Christian"). I am not a Mormon, Buddhist, Jehovah's Witness, Quaker or member of another break-off sect, if that is what you are curious about. Regarding "un-hinged", it was just a word that came to me and I had fun journaling it. I pictured a hatch, on a container meant to keep things in, blowing sky high because the container is over filled and bursting open. God's been challenging me, comforting me, testing me and growing me through circumstances (as always) but notably lately. And YES, funny you should ask... Just about 2 days ago I inquired with MAF regarding flying but they referred me to HeliMission's website because they do not operate helicopters. Please contact me through my website or phone and I'd be very interested to hear about the operation. -Kyler
